1-Week Chess Learning Course - Structured Daily Tactics and Endgame Training

How does the daily training cycle work?

Each day follows one complete training cycle: solve 3 puzzles in each of 5 tactical categories, then play 2 endgame scenarios against an AI opponent. The interface auto-advances through every step - you just keep pressing Next and the course takes you from your first tactical puzzle all the way through to your second endgame without any extra navigation needed.

What chess tactics and patterns does the course teach?

The course rotates through 10 tactical themes across the week: forks, pins and skewers, discovered attacks, deflections, sacrifices, trapped pieces, back-rank mates, checkmate patterns, defensive moves, and winning material. Each day uses a different mix of 5 themes so your brain encounters new pattern combinations every session.

How does the endgame progression work?

The endgame tasks are sequenced to build skill progressively. Early days cover fundamental checkmates - King + Queen, King + Rook, two bishops - and pawn endings with opposition and key squares. Mid-week moves to practical rook endings and minor-piece races. Days 6 and 7 tackle the most demanding positions: queen vs rook, rook vs rook, and longer multi-pawn rook endings that require sustained technique from start to finish.

Why learn tactics and endgames together?

Most improvement programs focus entirely on one area and leave the other underdeveloped. But in real games, tactical sharpness helps you find winning moves in endgames, while endgame precision teaches you to stay accurate when converting advantages. Training both in the same session creates a feedback loop that makes each skill reinforce the other - so your overall game improves faster than drilling tactics alone or endgames alone.

How does progress tracking work?

Every solved puzzle and completed endgame is saved automatically in your browser. The course tracks which day you are on, how many puzzle categories you have completed, and which endgame scenarios you have played. When you return, the Continue button takes you directly to your first unfinished step. Days unlock in order as you complete them, and you can review any completed day from the sidebar at any time.

Is this course free and does it require an account?

The entire 1-week course is completely free with no account, no email, and no personal data required. Your progress is stored locally in your browser. There are no ads, no paywalls, and no features locked behind a subscription - every puzzle, every endgame scenario, and all progress tracking is available from the moment you open the page.
